I came across a recipe last year for green tomato pie. It is a cross between apple and mincemeat pie. I brought it to work and everyone loved it. Sliced green tomatoes are sugared and combined with spices such as cinnamon, clove and nutmeg, raisins, chopped nuts, grated lemon and orange rind, and a shot of brandy. It was a really delicious pie! One would never know that it was made with hard, green tomatoes.
