I also loved the movie until the final minutes when the reporter asked for a comment on the fact the Julia thought it was foolish and didn't approve of what she was doing. Julia was so approachable and funny that I find this hard to believe. The movie tried to suggest that it is only her image we love but that it not the real Julia Child. I have met Julia on two occasions and both times she has been genuine and charming.

Although I loved the food scenes, I did find the movie a bit long. Since I never watched any of Julia Child's cooking shows, did she really talk the way Merle Streep portrayed her?

J.

Julia Child was a joke to the cooking industry and was an insult to every accomplished chef. Her skills would not make it in this day and age with all the wonderful chefs like Wolfgang Puck etc.

Vincent

THIS IS FOR J. If you think julia was a joke. Wolfgang is a great chef. But you do not know what you are talking about.
She was one of the best, and we miss her.
